Addressing hearing loss requires coordinated, system-wide policy action. Despite clear evidence of its health, social, and economic impact, access to hearing care remains uneven across Europe, and uptake of treatment still falls short of need.
Strengthening hearing care policy means taking action across the full care pathway – from early screening and timely referral, to sustainable reimbursement models and stronger integration of hearing care into healthy ageing and dementia prevention strategies.
